Chapter 7 - Ooops!
Zac and I were, for lack of a better word, bored. We had gone through our carry on bags twice, looking for something to do, then we switched and went through each others. We still couldnt find anything to do and there was still two hours left in the flight.
We sat for about fifteen minutes just staring at the movie screen which remained blank because the flight was to short to show a movie. All of a sudden, Zac sat up. I could almost see the light bulb appear over his head. "I know!" he said.
"Know what?" I said.
"What we could do."
"What?"
"We could play the army game."
"Whats the army game?"
"What you do is crawl up the aisle, all the way to the back of the plane."
"Sounds easy enough."
"You cant be seen though."
"I take back what I said."
"Since there are two of us and there are two aisles we could do a race?"
"Okay, I get a ten second head start, though."
"Fine then." He held out his hand. I shook it. We got down on our stomach on the aisles.
"Ready. . ." I started.
"Set. . ." Zac continued.
"Go!" we said in unison. I shot down the aisle.
"Hey!" Zac said noticing that I was substantially better at this game than I had let on. Zac started after me.
It was a close race, I finished first, just barely. I stood up and shouted "YES!" which earned a "sssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh" from Zac.
Suprisingly nobody woke up except for two teenage girls. Zac turned to me with a sorry look on his face. I wondered why. I soon found out. One of the girls spotted Zac. He instinctively covered his ears.
"OH MY GOD!!" the girl yelled. This automatically woke up the rest of the passengers in the Economy class of section of the airplane.
"Ooops!" Zac said meekly.
We ran back to our seats. I was once again confused. I decided to ask Zac why everywhere we went we encountered screaming girls, the next time we werent about to get a lecture. I could see Shirley walking down the plane towards us, she looked pretty mad. Like Zac said, "Oooops!"
